Consecration

Grace, mercy, and peace from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord!
In the twenty-fourth chapter of the book of Exodus, God calls Moses to a higher place, when he says, "Come up to Me on the mountain and be there;" It is in that place, on Mt. Sinai, where God called Moses apart from his place of comfort for 40 days to receive what was necessary for the next course of Israel's Journey in God. Throughout scripture God calls out his people to seek a higher place in Christ, and for preparation toward the next level of ministry.
In the third chapter of Matthew, Jesus is lead by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness to be tested of the devil. After forty days and forty nights of fasting, Jesus was hungry and it was at that time that the enemy attacked Jesus the Christ. Jesus' primary line of defense against the enemy is the Word of God, which he effectually uses and thus proves his readiness as he initiates his next level of ministry.
Stephanie and I invite you to join us as we humble ourselves through Christ in a set apart season of consecration so that we might be so blessed to receive a fresh word and direction from the Lord; for the pulling down of strongholds in our lives, and for the power to live the victorious, holy lives that are acceptable to God.
Consecration - transliterated from the Hebrew word qadash means to make holy, to declare distinct, or to set apart for holy service. The word describes dedicating an object or person to God. This will be a time of prayer, fasting, meditation and study of God's Word.
